About Timmy Woods: Timmy Woods is president and owner of Timmy Woods Beverly Hills, designer and manufacturer of fashionable, high quality, wearable art handbags for women. Born and raised in Beverly Hills, California, traveling the world extensively as a teen, Timmy holds a degree in sociology and art from UCLA and also attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising where she won the prestigious Rudi Gemrich design award. Timmy's designs have recently been published in Wearable Art Accessories and Jewelry 1900-2000 published by Schiffer Publishing LTD. A former model and performer, Timmy was also trained in classical ballet and danced with The New York City Ballet where she performed in various shows including 'The Nutcracker Suite'.

In 1985, Timmy began designing and manufacturing handbags. She immediately won the attention of the three "B's", Bergdorf, Bendel's and Bloomingdales. Although the business was successful, a Fortune 500 company, Oxford Industries, lured her into accepting a position to design Ken Done for the U. S. A. and B. J. Designs. Tired of tackling the demands of running her own business while raising two children, Timmy accepted.

After a serious injury in a car accident, Timmy's father, a real estate developer, suggested she join his lucrative business and include her design skills into real estate marketing. She was instantly successful utilizing her contacts, knowledge of the Pacific Rim and design expertise becoming an international realtor while continuing to expand her knowledge taking advanced studies at the University of Singapore. Although her new career proved lucrative it didn't hold the same appeal as the design world. In 1992, inspired by primitive carved wooden boxes she found at a market in the Philippines, Timmy launched Timmy Woods Beverly Hills.
